St Emilion Grand Cru: This right bank Grand Cru has the classic, plush qualities one would expect from this caliber of Saint Emilion. Black cherry, tobacco, dark chocolate and a round, full mouthfeel is apparent. Aromas of cigar box and leather lead to dark fruit flavors that are focused and firm. There are some tannins and acidity on the long, complex finish. While excellent now, it will mature further and gain complexity. From the great 2005 vintage. 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon
